Natalie LaFranzo

Volunteer, Scientist, and Lifecycle Leader in Greater Boston, MA

Hi, I'm Natalie!

As a Director at Large within the American Chemical Society, I'm passionate about the role ACS plays in improving all lives through the transforming power of chemistry.

I have a broad, interdisciplinary technical background, and thrive in leadership roles. I love being held accountable, driving projects to completion, and mentoring others. My career in industry has been centered on helping small life science tools and diagnostic companies achieve commercial success in roles such as product development/management, marketing, sales, lifecycle management, and clinical collaborations. I currently lead lifecycle strategy for lung cancer at Natera, the leader in ctDNA testing (disclaimer: my opinions and thoughts posted here are my own).

My interests include creating inclusive environments, team building, business development and corporate collaborations, start up/small business growth, marketing, scientific writing, collaborations, and leadership development.

My scientific training began in chemistry, the central science. I retain my identity as a chemist through volunteerism within the ACS. I've served at the Local Section level, Divisional Level, Regional Level, National and International Levels of ACS and have a holistic-level view of the Society.

I'm eager to work with all units from Local Sections, Divisions, International Chapters, Committees, Council, and Staff to evolve the Society to be more inclusive and innovative, while retaining our leadership position as the largest scientific society devoted to a single discipline.
